Fertile Foods

Much like a seed that requires the best soil, sunlight, and water to bloom into a gorgeous flower; our fertility requires that same care. it needs to be nourished before we try to fertilize an egg. our nutrition in the years just before we conceive, play such a huge role in not only our own health; but the health of your children and their children as well.

We can provide a healthier future for our children by choosing to make the right nutritional choices today. Preparing your body for pregnancy is not like any diet you've ever been on. instead of restricting your diet, we flood your body with nutrients providing a nourished and fertile space for conception to take place.

The following are my favorite fertile foods:

Eggs |

Eating eggs helps to increase the health of your own eggs. Eggs are rich in choline which helps prevents birth defects, and are high in protein. Be sure to eat pasteurized eggs, and if you can buy them from a friendly local farm.

Avocado |

Considered the Ultimate Fertility fruit, Avocados are high in Vitamin E and considered a "good fat". Avocado also is also a helpful food for men struggling with low sperm count.

Wild Caught Salmon |

Salmon is not only a great source of protein, it is also full of our favorite Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Be sure to purchase Wild Caught Salmon. It should be a gorgeous bright reddish orange in color.

Leafy Greens |

We all know why eating our greens is so important. Begin to add greens like Kale, Chard, Spinach, Broccoli, Mustard Greens and Romain Lettuce to each meal. Find your local farmers market to get the most greens for you money.

Organic Grassfed, Pasture Raised Chicken and Beef |

Protein is very important for a healthy conception and pregnancy. If you aren't Vegan or Vegetarian, find a whole Organic Chicken and feed you and your family. Don't throw away those bones, use them for bone broth!

Bone Broth |

Also known as "Liquid Gold" bone broth is essentially super nourishing soup. Bone broth helps to repair gut health, boost your immune system, get stronger bones, and have more energy. Enjoy one cup/day on your you fertility diet.

Berries, Pomegranate, & Bananas |

Both Berries and Pomegranates are loaded with antioxidants. Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, and Strawberries are all AMAZING for fertility! Bananas are loaded with Potassium, Vitamin B6 Manganese, Folate, Magnesium, Niacin, Iron, Vitamin A & Fiber.

Fermented Foods |

Think gut health! Sauerkraut, Natural Pickles, Kimchi, Kombucha, Yogurt & Kefir. Fermented foods promote the growth of healthy bacteria. They will also help you maintain a healthy vaginal pH balance.

Sweet Potato |

Bright orange in color, sweet potato makes the perfect fertile food because it helps balance the Sacral Chakra, our reproductive center. Loaded with Vitamin A, B, C, Betacarotene, and a multitude of other hormonal balancing fertility boosting nutrients!

Nuts & Seeds |

Pumpkin, Sunflower, and Sesame Seeds make the perfect snack especially for men as they are loaded with Zinc which promotes healthy sperm count. Walnuts, Almonds, and Brazil Nuts are loaded with proteins and Walnuts are high in our favorite Omega 3's.

Lentils & Legumes |

Loaded with Folic Acid, lentils make the perfect fertile food. Lentils also make a great protein substitution for those who are vegan or vegetarian. Also high in protein, Legumes contain fiber, B vitamins, iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium making them the perfect fertile food.

Quinoa, Amaranth, Buckwheat, Millet, Brown Rice |

These grains vary in what they offer nutritionally but they all contain vitamins and nutrients like Calcium, Iron, and B-Vitamins as well as protein. Incorporating these grains in your daily diet will help you balance hormones and regulate digestion.

Garlic & Ginger |

High in Selenium which boost male fertility and helps prevent early miscarriage, Garlic contains many fertility boosting nutrients. Garlic also helps balance hormones because it contains Vitamin B6. Ginger is a wonderfully warming herb that can help those who suffer dampness in the body. Ginger helps to increase circulation in the body helping to provide more blood to the reproductive organs.
